Description
This plugin is kind of like StreamRipper32 on
crack...What it allows you to do is essentially save off whatever you are
currently listening to in whatever bitrate that you like. This is great
for saving off 128kbps streams into 32kbps or 56kbps files. The DSP is
smart enough also to know about song titles, and will save off the output MP3s
named appropriately. This plugin can take some serious CPU depending on
the settings since it is essentially reecoding the stream in real time....So
even if your source and destination bitrates are the same, it still has to
reencode.
A quality setting is provided so that if your
CPU is taxed, then you can turn up this number (a higher quality actually means
"less quality" don't ask me, this is lame's parameter not mine) and
reduce the stress on your CPU...
And just like StreamRipper32, you can save off
your stream in a directory name based off the stream name. Additionally,
you can append a sequence number to the generated filename which has the effect
of preserving the order in which songs were played.
Configuration Options
Well, there isn't much but these
are the configurable options :

- Add StreamName to Output
Takes the name of the stream and appends it to your output directory
- Output directory
Duh, does this need to be explained ? It *must* be
created first.....(I think)
- Add Sequence Nbr
Prepends a sequence number to the generated MP3
file. Used to preserve ordering on the ripped stream.
- Bitrate
The output bitrate
- Quality
1 is high quality, 9 is low...the higher the quality
the slower the encoding and more CPU is taken up.
- Frequency
Frequency
- Stereo/MONO
